Not how... but WHERE should you Learn?

It's a topic explored many times here at SSCS. The idea of change excites people, it sparks creativity and the drive to be successful. For the betterment of our education system, I've taken the time to conduct my own research that suggests not all students learn the same. It seems as though our education system favors the "brick and mortar" students. Five of the seven 11th graders who I interviewed specifically stated that they want more "hands on learning".

One student stated, "I learn well in the traditional classroom. Other students may think differently because they need more engaging methods of learning." While interviewing, I learned that this particular individual has a good attention span and is very determined in her studies. On the other hand, another student said, "I do like hands on work, being able to engage myself in interactive learning would help my overall experience. I would prefer a more active environment, not just 'quiet' work." This student has mediocre grades in school and prefers to spend time playing iPad games rather than doing 'boring' schoolwork.
They went into further detail and explained an ideal classroom. Is it one where we can be outside drawing inspiration from our surroundings? Online, exploring knowledge from the comfort of our homes? Or could the perfect classroom be teacher-free, a silent study hall where determined learners can show responsibility by taking their education into their own hands? Honesty there is no wrong answer, when it comes to humans, diversity is where we flourish.
